Sudoku is A Birthday Present by Prasanna Seshadri, App variant is OTHER

Place the letters A,B,D,H,I,M,P,R,Y and/or the digits they are assigned to in every row and column. (NOTE no 3x3 boxes!)The nine letters used in the puzzle represent a different number from 1-9. The letters outside the grid are all Skyscraper clues. ie each number represents the "height" of a skyscraper in that cell. Numbers outside the grid indicate the number of visible skyscrapers from the direction (where taller buildings obscure smaller buildings "behind" them). After substitution within the grid, the digits 2 and 6 are "stars", and cannot touch orthogonally or diagonally with other instances of themselves or each other. The numbers outside the grid give the number of cells between the stars in that row. Stars cannot be on cells with red squares. Red squares give a message in the finished grid. Grey Circles contain odd digits and grey squares contain even digits.
