Normal sudoku rules apply. In cages, digits must sum to the small clue given in the top left corner of the cage. Digits cannot repeat within a cage. If two cells are separated by a V they must sum to 5; if two cells are separated by an X they must sum to 10. There is no negative constraint (eg if two cells are NOT separated by an X then they may still sum to 10).
