Normal sudoku rules apply. Black dots join digits with a 1:2 ratio; white dots join consecutive digits. Not all dots are shown. There are 18 'crust cells' in the grid, 2 in each row and column. Crust cells can have any value, and can differ in each row and column. An outside clue gives the sum of the digits between the crust cells in that row or column.
